ASHE, along with the US EPA Energy Star, is conducting a post annual conference training that will provide hands-on experience in identifying energy savings in hospitals. The Energy Treasure Hunt is a 1-1/2 day event designed to engage members in identifying low-cost energy savings opportunities from behavioral, operational, and maintenance actions. Bruce Bremer, Energy Treasure Hunt Founder and ENERGY STAR team member, will be on site to facilitate the event.
The Energy Treasure Hunt will take place immediately following ASHE’s Annual Conference in Seattle. Northwest Hospital & Medical Center in Seattle, WA will host the event.
The Energy Treasure Hunt Post Conference training takes place immediately following ASHE’s Annual Conference. Participants will be asked to participate in three 1 hour training webinars in the weeks prior to the event. The tentative schedule follows:

|12:30 pm: Bus will pick up participants at the Washington State Convention Center|
|12:45 pm: Lunch and event kickoff – review treasure hunt philosophies, process, and calculation details|
|1:45 to 4:30 pm: Teams look for savings opportunities on site and calculate savings|
|4:45 pm: Bus will pick up participants and transport back to Conference Hotel|

|7:15 am: Bus will pick up participants at the Washington State Convention Center|
|7:30 to 11:30 am: Teams look for savings opportunities on site and calculate savings|
|11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Working lunch on site, teams create final presentation demonstrating identified savings|
|12:30 to 1:30 pm: Teams identify and present results – event close-out|
|1:45 pm: Bus will pick up participants and transport back to Washington State Convention Center|
This event is open to all facility managers interested in hands-on training in identifying energy savings in their facilities.
Register by June 8, 2018. Attendees can choose to sign up online during the Annual Conference registration process.

Contact hours can be used toward renewal of the Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) and the Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC) credential.
